Lead capture app.Any badge.No rental.
Tendro is the badge scanner app your booth team runs on their own phones. Photograph the printed badge, get an enriched contact, and see it land in your CRM before the prospect reaches the next aisle.
Free desk trialNo credit card needed. $499 per event, unlimited team members. CRM sync starts with your first paid event.

§ 01 · The app
What does the Tendro app do?
Tendro photographs any printed event badge or business card, enriches the contact, and syncs it to your CRM. Works offline. $499 per event with unlimited team members.
Photograph the badge. Saved, email found.

The contact fills in. Email, phone, LinkedIn.

Tag it, say the note. Typed into Notes.

The full mechanism is on the Tendro homepage, and the sync path is walked through in real-time CRM sync for event leads.
§ 02 · The badge
Which badges can it scan?
Any printed badge. Tendro reads the name, title, and company off the badge face with OCR, then enriches the rest. No organizer app or contract.

What Tendro does with it
- Printed faceThe camera reads name, company and title. Enrichment looks up the email and the company details.
- BarcodeOn most big shows, an organizer ID that only the organizer's system, or an app it licenses, turns into a contact. Tendro never needs to resolve it.
One check before you fly: exhibitor contracts vary on third-party capture policies. Read yours.
The same app works at IMTS, PACK EXPO and the hotel-ballroom conference with badges printed at the front desk. Show-specific reads are on the IMTS page and the PACK EXPO page; the mechanism in full is in the universal badge scanner explainer.
§ 03 · Badge codes
Does Tendro read badge QR codes?
Yes. If the code carries contact details, they fill the lead. If it's an organizer ID, Tendro reads the printed badge and looks up the rest.
BEGIN:VCARD · FN:Jordan Ellis · ORG:Northwind…A vCard or MeCard, as on some smaller shows and business cards. Name, company, title, email and phone fill the lead first, ahead of what's printed.
REG 4471-2093Only the organizer's system can turn the ID into a contact. Tendro reads the printed name and company and looks up the email.
1 photo waiting to uploadA badge photographed offline is decoded when the photo uploads, so the code's details arrive with the rest of the lead.

§ 04 · Cards
Does Tendro scan business cards?
Yes. Point the same camera at a business card. OCR reads the printed card, enrichment fills in the rest, and it lands in your CRM like a badge scan.

There is no separate card mode. The OCR step reads either a badge or a business card, so a rep handed a card at the booth takes the same photo and gets the same enriched record.
§ 05 · Offline
Does it work without WiFi on the show floor?
Yes. Every capture saves to the phone first and queues locally. When signal returns, the backlog uploads in scan order with the original timestamps.
No signal. Saved on this phone.

Signal back. Uploaded, being read.

What happens to a scanNo signal
- On the phone
- Photo, notes and tags queue on the device. Capture never waits on the venue.
- No duplicates
- Each capture carries its own key, so a retry after a dropped connection can't create a second lead.
- Who scanned
- The queue is stamped with the rep who captured it, for a shared booth phone that changes hands.
- After upload
- Enrichment and CRM sync run server-side once the photo lands.
Why the floor drops in the first place, McCormick Place's own 768 Kbps cap included, is in the offline badge scanner write‑up.
§ 06 · Destinations
Which CRMs does the app sync to?
Salesforce and HubSpot natively, plus any CRM with a public API. Sync starts with your first paid event; the desk trial covers scans and enrichment.
A Lead with the email, its Rating set from the tag, and a completed Task carrying the answers and notes.
A Contact matched on email, owned by the rep it's assigned to, with a note carrying the answers.
Connected on request. Ask from the chat bubble in the app before the show.

Field mapping is set per team and can be overridden per event. What each destination receives: Salesforce, HubSpot, and every integration.
§ 07 · Digital card
Does every rep get a digital card?
Yes, free. Each rep's card has a QR. Visitors save the contact or share their details back, and each share-back lands as a lead.
The card. What a visitor opens.

Share your details. It lands as a lead.

Where the card goesFree
- At the booth
- Show the QR or send the link. Save contact sits on top, with phone, email, Book a time, LinkedIn and the website.
- Share-backs
- Visitors type their own name and work email, plus an optional note. They collect in the app under Your digital card.
- Recaps
- The same card rides along in every booth recap and in each rep's email signature.
- Logo
- An admin sets the company logo once, for every rep's card.
Collecting share-backs is free and doesn't count against the trial's 25 captures. Syncing them to your CRM or exporting them is a paid feature.
§ 08 · Rate card
What does the app cost?
$499 per event with unlimited team members, never per device. Every rep on the booth scans on their own phone under one license. No hardware rental.
Each rep scans on their own phone under one license. Never per device, and no hardware to rent, ship or return.
Organizer lead-retrieval scanners typically run $400 to $700 per device per event on current order forms. A four-rep booth renting handhelds pays for Tendro on its first show.
Flat per event, with volume rates from 10+ events. Bring your show list to a call and get your rate there.
The full rate card, desk trial included, is on the pricing page. Line-by-line reads against the incumbents are in Cvent LeadCapture alternatives and iCapture alternatives, with the rest of the field on the alternatives hub.
“Events used to mean chaos after the booth: manual CRM entry, lost follow-ups. Now every scan is in the CRM the same day, and follow-up goes out while the show is still running.”
§ 09 · Desk trial
How do I try it before a show?
Sign up free with no card, log in on the app, and scan the old badges on your desk. The trial is capped at 25 scans and has no time limit.
- Create the accountAt app.tendro.com. No card.
- Log in on the appFrom the App Store or Google Play. You get a workspace and a sample event.
- Scan what's on your deskLast year's badges and the business cards in your drawer.
- Grade the enrichmentOn your own stack. Industrial badges enrich differently than SaaS ones, so we don't publish a blanket match rate: measure it.
