What does lead retrieval cost at MEDICA 2026?

The published 2026 Scan2Lead order form runs €111.75 to €399 per device or package, and the per-licence price drops as you buy more.

These are current numbers, not a prior-year proxy. Scan2Lead (adventics GmbH), via the Messe Düsseldorf Online Order System publishes the 2026 form in the open, priced per licence by quantity. Prices step by quantity, not date. Rental iPad and rental laptop orders close on November 2, 2026; app, COLLECT and STATION licences can be ordered until November 19, 2026.

All prices exclude VAT and are invoiced by Messe Düsseldorf. A 50-licence tier sits below the three shown: €111.75 each for the app and €224.25 each for the rental iPad, COLLECT and STATION. The rental laptop STATION has only two tiers. Cancellation is free up to three weeks before the show, 50% up to one week before, then the full price. A loan device returned late can cost up to 50% of the product price again; one lost or damaged costs replacement plus €20.

The data terms are part of the price. Scan2Lead's conditions bar scanning any visitor outside your stand or any visitor who objects. Your leads sit in the Scan2Lead portal for four weeks after the show, then the portal closes for privacy; copies after that come from adventics' archive and can be charged at cost.

The badge

What does the MEDICA 2026 badge actually encode?

MEDICA tickets carry a barcode linked to the visitor's registration. Scan2Lead retrieves the record, and only if the visitor agrees to the scan.

That ID is a license plate. It means nothing without the Messe Düsseldorf database behind it, so the organizer's own scanner is the only device that resolves the encoded ID, while Tendro captures the same lead by reading the printed face and enriching the rest.

No universal app, Tendro included, decodes the organizer's encoded badge ID; what Tendro reads is the printed face, the name, title, and company, and enrichment fills the verified email and firmographics the badge leaves off. Same for business cards and QR codes.

So the honest limit carries its own fix: without the organizer's licensed access (the rented scanner or a paid event API) no app resolves the encoded ID, and OCR plus enrichment returns the named, verified contact without waiting on the rental. The WiFi

Does the WiFi hold up at Messe Düsseldorf exhibition grounds?

Messe Düsseldorf booth WiFi is a Deutsche Telekom hotspot sold by device count for the whole fair: €80 for one, €316 for five, €596 for ten.

Deutsche Telekom runs the fairground network, and exhibitors buy Business-HOTSPOT access by the number of devices online at once, for the duration of the fair: one device €80, five €316, ten €596, 25 €996, each at 15 Mbit/s down and 5 Mbit/s up per user with unlimited data, plus VAT. Devices must support 5 GHz, and exhibitors may not set up their own access points. The one-device tier closes for orders on November 16, 2026.

It gets worse under load. Show-floor WiFi is half-duplex, and per Cisco's high-density WiFi design guidance, a single access point degrades past roughly 25 clients per radio. The busiest hour on the floor is the hour the signal is thinnest.

The alternative

What is the $499-per-event alternative?

Tendro is $499 per event with unlimited team members, never per device. A five-person booth pays one flat fee, not five rentals.

At MEDICA the organizer publishes the lead-capture price and the data rules side by side. Scan2Lead is sold through Messe Düsseldorf's own order system at a per-licence price that falls with quantity, not with date: the SMART app on your own phone is €149 a licence, €134.10 from five and €119.20 from ten, and a rented handheld or iPad is €299, all plus VAT. Messe Düsseldorf's privacy policy names the legal basis for handing you a visitor's data as consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, given when the visitor lets you scan the barcode on their ticket. The Scan2Lead terms forbid scanning anyone outside your stand or anyone who objects, and the portal holding those leads closes four weeks after the show. Booth WiFi is sold per device too, €80 for one phone for the run of the fair. Tendro is $499 per event with unlimited team members, and the consent rule applies to every badge you capture, however you capture it.
