Money20/20 USA 2026lead capture

The honest read on Money20/20 USA 2026: what the organizer scanner really costs, what the badge encodes, and whether the venue WiFi holds up. Tendro is a lead capture app: your booth team scans badges and business cards with their phones, and it is $499 flat for the whole team at one event. One $499 fee covers every phone on your booth staff, instead of renting scanners per device.

Test the free desk trial: point a phone at last year's badges and a stack of business cards and judge the enrichment yourself. No credit card.

The scanner cost

What does lead retrieval cost at Money20/20 USA 2026?

Nothing. Money20/20 USA 2026 publishes no lead-retrieval product and names no scanner vendor. The organizer sells sponsorship, not booths.

There is no order form to link, because there is no product to order. What Money20/20 USA 2026 sells for the floor is an application-gated sponsorship package with no published rate card. No scanner rental, no named lead-retrieval vendor, and no published rate appears on the organizer's sponsor, show-floor, or on-site FAQ pages. We do not quote a band here, because there is nothing to band.

What a sponsor gets instead is Money20/20 Connect, the official networking platform. It runs AI matchmaking against the attendee list, lets you search, sort and filter that list, books meetings, carries instant messaging, reserves tables, and, in the organizer's own words, exports team connections and meeting details. The sponsor-only My Team area lives on the web platform.

The organizer is direct about where that stops. Money20/20 owns all rights to the attendee list and does not sell it, and its own FAQ says GDPR and internal policies prohibit sharing this data with individual attendees and sponsors. The export covers the meetings your team booked. It does not cover the floor.

There is no lead-retrieval order form. Show-floor presence is an application-gated sponsorship package, and the sponsor-side tooling is Money20/20 Connect. Source.

The badge

What does the Money20/20 USA 2026 badge actually encode?

Money20/20 emails a unique barcode for badge pickup. No lead-retrieval scanner is published and no capture vendor is named.

That barcode is documented for one job, collecting your badge on arrival, and nothing official says the printed badge carries a code an exhibitor can scan. What the printed face does carry, and the organizer publishes this, is a headshot, first and last name, job title, and company name. That is the surface Tendro reads, and enrichment fills in the verified email the badge never shows.

What Tendro reads is the printed face, the name, title, and company, and enrichment fills the verified email and firmographics the badge leaves off. Same for business cards and QR codes. No universal app, Tendro included, decodes the organizer's encoded badge ID.

So the honest limit carries its own fix: without the organizer's licensed access (the rented scanner or a paid event API) no app resolves the encoded ID, and OCR plus enrichment returns the named, verified contact without waiting on the rental. The universal badge scanner explainer walks through how.

One more thing worth checking: exhibitor contracts vary on third-party capture policies, so read yours before the show.

The WiFi

Does the WiFi hold up at The Venetian?

The Venetian does not sell or rent wireless routers, so a booth that wants WiFi brings its own access point and orders bandwidth to feed it.

The venue sizes that bandwidth order by device count: 3 Mbps for three devices or fewer, 10 or 20 Mbps for four to ten, then 30 Mbps and up in ten-megabit steps. It publishes no price for any of those tiers, and the ordering portal is not open to the public.

It gets worse under load. Show-floor WiFi is half-duplex, and per Cisco's high-density WiFi design guidance, a single access point degrades past roughly 25 clients per radio. The busiest hour on the floor is the hour the signal is thinnest.

Tendro captures to the phone first. Every scan queues locally with its real timestamp and syncs in order when the connection returns, so a soft WiFi bar never costs you a lead. The offline capture write-up covers how the queue behaves when the venue drops.

The alternative

What is the $499-per-event alternative?

Tendro is $499 per event with unlimited team members, never per device. A five-person booth pays one flat fee, not five rentals.

Money20/20 does not sell you a scanner, because it does not sell booths. It sells sponsorship packages, application-gated, with no published rate card and no lead-retrieval product on any official page. What a sponsor gets instead is Money20/20 Connect: AI matchmaking, the attendee list to search and filter, booked meetings, and an export of team connections. The organizer states plainly that GDPR and internal policy prohibit sharing attendee data with sponsors. So the only sanctioned record is the meeting you booked, and every conversation at the stand that is not a booked Connect meeting is yours to capture or lose.

One fee, not per device.$499 covers the whole booth. Unlimited devices, unlimited scans. A five-person team is one rental, not five.

The desk trial

How do you test it before Money20/20 USA 2026?

Run the free desk test before Money20/20 USA 2026: scan old badges and business cards, judge the enrichment, then decide.

The free trial is the scan-and-enrichment desk test. Point a phone at last year's badges and a stack of business cards, watch what Tendro reads and enriches, and grade the data before Money20/20 USA 2026 opens.

We do not publish a blanket enrichment match rate. Industrial badges enrich differently than SaaS ones, which is exactly why the desk test exists: run it on your own badge stack.

The free trial covers capture and enrichment; CRM sync switches on with your first paid event, so you test field mapping against a real show, not a sandbox. The desk test costs a lunch break and answers the enrichment question before any show is on the line.
